Manila is a well-rounded destination for sightseers who also enjoy a good deal, are admired for its history, and are adored by its shopping malls and markets. Shopping in Manila includes everything from luxurious shopping malls to budget-friendly markets, ideal for buying affordable souvenirs, trendy clothes, and locally handmade items.

Travel, Play, & Retire. https://philippineinfluence.com - We make Philippines travel easy, fun, and safe.

The best part of shopping in Manila is that many malls and shopping districts, such as Intramuros, Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral, and Rizal Park, are situated just minutes away from some of Manila’s most popular attractions. Book a stay at one of the several Manila Metro hotels and get ready for one of the Philippines’ best shopping trips. Shopping in Manila is fun; try it today.

ROBINSONS PLACE MANILA.

Travel, Play, & Retire. https://philippineinfluence.com - We make Philippines travel easy, fun, and safe.

Due to its convenient position in Manila’s center, Robinsons Place Mall is a popular place to shop while shopping in Manila. The shopping mall may start to look a little bit old, but it delivers the goods whatever you are looking for.

It is appreciated by all those who are looking for shopping in Manila with a mid-range budget by housing department stores, boutiques, chain and independent restaurants, a food court, and several attractions, including a movie theatre.

Robinsons Place Manila, one of the centerpieces of the upscale Ermita neighborhood, is the largest Robinsons mall globally, so it will not disappoint during a shopping spree in Manila. As well as tons of boutiques, international restaurants, and a theater, the mall features Robinsons department store merchandise. While Ermita is known as one of Manila’s metro areas, it is also home to Manila University of the Philippines, just across the street from Manila’s Robinsons Place.

The mall also has many fast-food restaurants, such as McDonald’s and Burger King, inexpensive local restaurants.  It even has a food court, where tourists can try local Filipino dishes at a fraction of other restaurants’ price restaurants.

DIVISORIA MARKET MANILA

Travel, Play, & Retire. https://philippineinfluence.com - We make Philippines travel easy, fun, and safe.

Divisoria Market is crowded and noisy, but with plenty of good discount opportunities. Manila’s Chinatown center is renowned for its street stalls that sell almost everything, from clothing, bags, textiles, accessories, and electronics to religious products, pirated DVDs, household and office equipment, fruit and vegetables, and toys.

The market is famous for its wholesale and retail stores. There are air-conditioned malls that house hundreds of these bargain stalls for those who don’t fancy shopping out in the streets. It can be a labyrinth inside, so if you see anything you want, go ahead and buy it immediately or write down the stall number if you wish to go back for it.

For those who hate crowds and busy streets, Divisoria Market is not for them. If you’re up for genuine shopping in Manila, though, put on a comfortable pair of shoes and have fun. For many Filipinos, it is a popular shopping destination. Still, you’ll also spot tourists looking around for souvenirs to bring back home.

168 SHOPPING MALL

Travel, Play, & Retire. https://philippineinfluence.com - We make Philippines travel easy, fun, and safe.

A famous spot for shopping in Manila’s Chinatown is the 168 Shopping Center. This 5-story complex is a 5-minute walk from Divisoria Market, offering a wide range of bargain products and accessories, including shoes, bags, and toys.

The 3rd floor houses a food court, where at affordable prices you can enjoy authentic local food. You can find food carts and restaurants on the ground and 2nd floor and all over the 168 Shopping Centre.

SM CITY MANILA

Travel, Play, & Retire. https://philippineinfluence.com - We make Philippines travel easy, fun, and safe.

One of the SM Group stores that can be found all over the Philippines is SM City Manila (and even in China). Both SM chain companies such as SM Supermarket, SM Appliance Center, SM Cinemas, and SM Food Court are included. Many chain stores such as Watson’s, National Bookstore, and many small boutiques and restaurants.

Suppose you remain in this lovely area of Manila. In that case, SM City Manila is within walking distance of Intramuros, making it a convenient shopping spot.

SHANGRI-LA PLAZA

Travel, Play, & Retire. https://philippineinfluence.com - We make Philippines travel easy, fun, and safe.

Over 300 luxury and homeware boutiques and restaurants are located in Shangri-La Plaza, an upscale shopping center. Directly linked to the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Shangri-La Plaza’s luxurious vibe makes it less busy than most of Manila’s shopping malls.

At Shangri-La Plaza, you’ll find luxury and mid-range brands, including Elizabeth Arden, Cartier, GAP, Brooks Brothers, and Mango. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants on-site that offer foreign cuisine.

BAYVIEW PARK HOTEL MANILA

C:\Users\user 1\Desktop\hotel-facade.jpg

It is just minutes away from other historic and famous landmarks, including Luneta Park, Manila Cathedral, Intramuros, and the vibrant art and entertainment environment, Malate, the Bayview Park Hotel Manila. The United States is across it, towards the bay. The Embassy, Manila Yacht Club, and further on, the SMX Convention Center and CCP Complex, the country’s leading cultural hub.

Its proximity to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, just 20 minutes away, offers the travel-weary visitor much desired extra comfort. Hospitable, reliable, modest, respected, differentiated. Words that are meant to live by. This is Manila’s way to the Bayview Park Hotel.

REVIEW

  • It was a unique one-night stay. The room is spotless, and the view is impressive. It was the first time we had ever stayed at a hotel on Roxas Boulevard. It was quick but enjoyable. Though it was frigid, I liked the bed.
  • I have a pleasant stay, good food, good lodging, but I just know that their receptionist doesn’t have that good customer service. They’re not grinning. They’re still in the wrong mode, I thought. Other than that, everything is fine.

SUMMARY

The most exciting malls, markets, and shops available in the Philippines’ capital city are presented in our list of the best places to go shopping in Manila. Manila is on par with most Asian capital cities, such as Bangkok or Singapore, in retail options. Ultra-modern shopping malls are the top shopping venues here, closely followed by street markets.

Even if you’re not too into shopping, a wide range of food and drinks, as well as things to see and do, are also offered by most of Manila’s most popular shopping venues.

Do you want to find fun things to do in Manila? Manila is the world’s most densely populated city, is truly a melting pot of culture. A city tour is a perfect way for this exciting city to orient itself. There are a lot of fun things to do in Manila. There are a variety of tours available that include all the must-see locations.

The Manila Philippines is an ideal tourist destination, with its liberal places, lush jungles, and white sand beaches are all part of the fun things to do in Manila. From breathtaking waterfalls such as Pagsanjan Falls and the Kawasan Waterfall to the rare cone-shaped Chocolate Hills of Bohol, this archipelago nation offers surprises around every corner. The Philippines is not going to disappoint travelers searching for anything different.

FUN THINGS TO DO IN MANILA

Do you want to have fun and experience great pleasure on your travel tour, then manila is the right place for you, there are so many fun things to do in Manila and they include;

1.       A visit to San Agustin museum:

Visiting the Memorial, or walled city, which is the oldest district of the country, is one of the most interesting sites and fun things to do in Manila. Established in the 16th century by the Spanish, the Intramuros lasted until the mid-1900s, after which it was reduced during the Second World War to ruins.

While the war ruined most of the ancient city, the San Agustin Museum gives its tourists an opportunity to experience the region’s glory and legacy. The Museum boasts a proud collection of artifacts, statues, sculptures, and monuments that can take you to the medieval years, adjacent to the San Agustin Church, one of the oldest remaining churches in the city.

HOTEL

Masaya Hostel San Agustin in Manila

Masaya San Agustin is an eco-hostel in San Agustin’s heights, providing private rooms or shared dorms in eco-friendly cabins. The hostel has incredible views of the Canyon of Magdalena. The bar, restaurant, social areas, jacuzzis, coffee plantations, miradors, movie room, or permaculture facilities are also available. Some of the options provided by Masaya include hiking, ecological and cultural events.

REVIEW

·         The place itself is really amazing. Lots of information about the history of the country and Christianism. The museum is not only informational but also beautiful, with the mother of pearl windows.

·         Unexpectedly beautiful and big! What a great find! Completely immersive with lots of statues and other artifacts to admire.

2.       Intramuros In Manila

One of the fun things to do in Manila is to visit the most ancient part of the city which is all that Manila had until the 20th century.

It is a tight grid structure composed of solid walls from the 16th and 17th centuries and is a major contrast to the surrounding high-rise cityscape.

From the 16th century to 1898, this was the capital of the Spanish East Indies, with the requisite temples, courtyard palaces, and administrative buildings in beautiful colonial buildings. A tour to Intramuros is absolutely one of the fun things to do in Manila.

Intramuros has the odd feeling of a European town center far from Europe, like many old colonial settlements.

There are a few attractions on this list in Intramuros, but look out for the statue of King Carlos IV in Roma Square, the newly restored Ayuntamiento palace, and the gate of Isabel II with the Queen’s statue.

HOTEL

The Bayleaf intramuros in Manila

The Bayleaf is the only luxury hotel in the heart of the country’s premier heritage site, Intramuros, which was built more than 400 years ago by the Spanish government. Intramuros is home to very old churches, museums, national parks and courtyards situated within huge walls. With 57 rooms and suites, Five modern conference rooms, a 280-capacity ballroom, an all-day dining panoramic restaurant on the 9th floor, an al fresco roof deck bar on the deck, and a rustic Churros cafe on the ground floor are also available at The Bayleaf.

REVIEW

·         Intramuros, Manila’s walled city, has preserved a lot of its architecture: the cathedrals, colonial buildings, cobbled streets. It’s a great stroll. There were also places where you can buy souvenirs. Intramuros covers a large area. It also is home to several universities.

·         Intramuros is always a fun place to learn and roam around in. Gives you a glimpse of Manila during the Spanish colonial period much like Binondo gives you a glimpse of the life of the Filipino-Chinese community.

3.       Manila Baywalk

In the evening, when you can see the sun go down, the waterfront walkway on Manila Bay is unique. It is one of the most fun things to do in Manila.

The scene of the Battle of Manila Bay between the United States Navy and Spain in 1898, which ended in a decisive American victory and brought down the curtain over the more than 300 years of Spanish rule, was the gleaming waters.

The Baywalk is two kilometers from the American Embassy down to the Philippines Cultural Center and has a line of palms from the busy Roxas Boulevard buffering it.

There are skyscrapers across the road, and there’s a precinct with cafes and restaurants as you go down to the Manila Yacht Club. If you want to have fun in manila then visit the manila baywalk.

HOTEL

New Hotel Miramar

It does not need to be hard to find an ideal hotel in Manila. Welcome to the New Miramar Hotel, which is a good option for travelers like you.

You can enjoy comfortable rooms with air conditioning, a minibar, and a desk, and you will stay linked throughout your stay with free Wi-Fi available to guests at the New Hotel Miramar.

REVIEW

·         The Manila bay is a nice place to relax in the evening and enjoy the sunset view. I was told that the place has become relatively cleaner than it was. It is a good place to be.

·         It’s a really lovely place to go to, a massive shopping mall, an amusement park, plenty of places to eat and drink and best of all the bay stretching out in front of you.

·         A really lovely place to watch the sunset and it’s nice to just see other people as well as you enjoy the whole scenery and there is also a fish spa and aquarium further down.

4.       Paco Park is a fun thing to do in Manila.

C:\Users\user 1\Desktop\photo-1588314168741-5698d3502e13.jpg

The very solemn Paco Park, another stop on the José Rizal trail, was where the national hero was first buried following his execution in 1896. This park has a circular format, and during the 19th century, it was a graveyard.

But the graves in the niches were cleared in 1912 and the bodies were handed over to their relatives.

These niches, filled in and cemented over, you can still make out, and there’s a gray stone surround walkway on top of the walls containing them.

A lovely sequestered garden with lawns, trees, flowerbeds, and the St Pancratius’ circular cemetery chapel is in the center. Do you want fun things to do in Manila? See Paco Park today.

HOTEL

The Oasis paco hotel, in Manila

OYO 209 The Oasis Paco Park Hotel is an aesthetic property with an in-house restaurant, located next to Paco Park in Manila City. Tourist attractions such as the popular Paco Park, Rizal Park, and the National Museum Complex are close to the house. Unique Amenities- There is an open-air swimming pool on the property. The rooms here are well-designed and they have bathrooms attached.

REVIEWS

·         It was relatively easy to book and coordinate with the Park Administration for a Corporate Event at Paco Park. The venue is unique, historical, romantic, and elegant. The fountain is beautiful at night. Bookings for the Chapel is separate. Perfect for musical or outdoor theatre events. We brought our own caterer. Make sure you inspect the toilets. Bring your own amenities because the administration does not provide that. If they did, they would get more bookings for the venue.

5.       Robinsons Place Mall, In Manila

C:\Users\user 1\Desktop\photo-1578996450762-9ee2c66e5fa5.jpg

Robinsons Place Manila is a 240,000 sqm full-service, a world-class mall that is currently the leading shopping center in Manila, strategically situated at the heart of the historic city of Manila. A group of homes, government and business offices, academic and medical facilities, parks, famous landmarks, churches, hotels, and nightspots are within a kilometer radius. Robinson place is also a fun place to be in Manila.
