FUN THINGS TO DO IN MANILA

Do you want to have fun and experience great pleasure on your travel tour, then manila is the right place for you, there are so many fun things to do in Manila and they include;

1.       A visit to San Agustin museum:

Visiting the Memorial, or walled city, which is the oldest district of the country, is one of the most interesting sites and fun things to do in Manila. Established in the 16th century by the Spanish, the Intramuros lasted until the mid-1900s, after which it was reduced during the Second World War to ruins.

While the war ruined most of the ancient city, the San Agustin Museum gives its tourists an opportunity to experience the region’s glory and legacy. The Museum boasts a proud collection of artifacts, statues, sculptures, and monuments that can take you to the medieval years, adjacent to the San Agustin Church, one of the oldest remaining churches in the city.

·         The place itself is really amazing. Lots of information about the history of the country and Christianism. The museum is not only informational but also beautiful, with the mother of pearl windows.

·         Unexpectedly beautiful and big! What a great find! Completely immersive with lots of statues and other artifacts to admire.

2.       Intramuros In Manila

One of the fun things to do in Manila is to visit the most ancient part of the city which is all that Manila had until the 20th century.

It is a tight grid structure composed of solid walls from the 16th and 17th centuries and is a major contrast to the surrounding high-rise cityscape.

From the 16th century to 1898, this was the capital of the Spanish East Indies, with the requisite temples, courtyard palaces, and administrative buildings in beautiful colonial buildings. A tour to Intramuros is absolutely one of the fun things to do in Manila.

Intramuros has the odd feeling of a European town center far from Europe, like many old colonial settlements.

There are a few attractions on this list in Intramuros, but look out for the statue of King Carlos IV in Roma Square, the newly restored Ayuntamiento palace, and the gate of Isabel II with the Queen’s statue.

HOTEL

The Bayleaf intramuros in Manila

The Bayleaf is the only luxury hotel in the heart of the country’s premier heritage site, Intramuros, which was built more than 400 years ago by the Spanish government. Intramuros is home to very old churches, museums, national parks and courtyards situated within huge walls. With 57 rooms and suites, Five modern conference rooms, a 280-capacity ballroom, an all-day dining panoramic restaurant on the 9th floor, an al fresco roof deck bar on the deck, and a rustic Churros cafe on the ground floor are also available at The Bayleaf.

REVIEW

·         Intramuros, Manila’s walled city, has preserved a lot of its architecture: the cathedrals, colonial buildings, cobbled streets. It’s a great stroll. There were also places where you can buy souvenirs. Intramuros covers a large area. It also is home to several universities.

·         Intramuros is always a fun place to learn and roam around in. Gives you a glimpse of Manila during the Spanish colonial period much like Binondo gives you a glimpse of the life of the Filipino-Chinese community.

3.       Manila Baywalk

In the evening, when you can see the sun go down, the waterfront walkway on Manila Bay is unique. It is one of the most fun things to do in Manila.

The scene of the Battle of Manila Bay between the United States Navy and Spain in 1898, which ended in a decisive American victory and brought down the curtain over the more than 300 years of Spanish rule, was the gleaming waters.

The Baywalk is two kilometers from the American Embassy down to the Philippines Cultural Center and has a line of palms from the busy Roxas Boulevard buffering it.

There are skyscrapers across the road, and there’s a precinct with cafes and restaurants as you go down to the Manila Yacht Club. If you want to have fun in manila then visit the manila baywalk.

·         The Manila bay is a nice place to relax in the evening and enjoy the sunset view. I was told that the place has become relatively cleaner than it was. It is a good place to be.

·         It’s a really lovely place to go to, a massive shopping mall, an amusement park, plenty of places to eat and drink and best of all the bay stretching out in front of you.

·         A really lovely place to watch the sunset and it’s nice to just see other people as well as you enjoy the whole scenery and there is also a fish spa and aquarium further down.

4.       Paco Park is a fun thing to do in Manila.

The very solemn Paco Park, another stop on the José Rizal trail, was where the national hero was first buried following his execution in 1896. This park has a circular format, and during the 19th century, it was a graveyard.

But the graves in the niches were cleared in 1912 and the bodies were handed over to their relatives.

These niches, filled in and cemented over, you can still make out, and there’s a gray stone surround walkway on top of the walls containing them.

A lovely sequestered garden with lawns, trees, flowerbeds, and the St Pancratius’ circular cemetery chapel is in the center. Do you want fun things to do in Manila? See Paco Park today.

REVIEWS

·         It was relatively easy to book and coordinate with the Park Administration for a Corporate Event at Paco Park. The venue is unique, historical, romantic, and elegant. The fountain is beautiful at night. Bookings for the Chapel is separate. Perfect for musical or outdoor theatre events. We brought our own caterer. Make sure you inspect the toilets. Bring your own amenities because the administration does not provide that. If they did, they would get more bookings for the venue.
