LIVING LIKE A KING IN PHILIPPINE

You will feel like a king here in the Philippines, and because of the goodness of the people, your little earnings will sound like a royal fortune. I will be treated as an older man in the States at 50years of age, which probably you are. No one grins at you; not a lot will care for you in most western countries. There is little empathy, compassion in other countries compared to the Philippines.

But at age 68 in the Philippines, you will be treated like a king because the people are kind and supportive. The beautiful people here and their culture can turn you into a different human, from a materialistic wage slave to and struggling business owner.

In the Philippines, You will have many things only a king could afford in a western world, including the respect you will have for others and yourself.

LIVING LIKE A KING (why retiring to the Philippines is a good idea)

Generally, the Philippines has a low cost of living; you could live comfortably from $800 to $1200 a month, including accommodation, utilities, food, healthcare, and taxes.

Here are some of the reasons why retiring in the Philippines is attractive

Housing Cost

It is popular in the Philippines for retirees to rent a house. For about $300 a month, condos and apartments can be rented.

If you want to buy, you can do that, but you cannot buy a detached house unless you have $50,000 deposited in a Philippine bank.

With  $300 to $380, you can get a lovely house with a lovely yard, two phones in a beautiful neighborhood.

Medical

In the Philippines, there are outstanding hospitals. So get a helper to call one of them and a taxi to take you to the hospital if you have a problem. Office visits are USD 6.00 to a professional. I once paid for a Filipino friend’s chemotherapy operation. She had throat cancer and went to a government hospital. The six months of the successful treatment cost $800, including blood.  This is why retiring to the Philippines is a good idea.

You will be able to afford effective care when you get cancer and not hit the deductible on your health insurance policy! My dentist put caps on my teeth for $60 a cap, and when she works, she sings to me.

Low tax on retirees

The Philippines, not only in South East Asia but worldwide, is one of the most popular retirement destinations! If you have ever looked yourself into it, you’ll know why.

Government support for expats is excellent, living costs are modest, health care is affordable, and it’s a lovely nation. International living doesn’t get any easier, from the diverse and bustling cities in the Philippines to their many beautiful beaches! Another great reason why retiring to the Philippines a good idea.

There is a whole department in the Philippine government dedicated to promoting expats to retire there. This implies that expats enjoy a host of other advantages as well as cheap living, including:

  • Up to 7,000 Duty-Free Import
  • Exemption from taxes on airports
  • Discounts from Alliance

It is obvious and quick to understand the income tax system. You can only be taxed on profits received from the Philippines’ sources and never at more than 35%.

Beautiful setting

For its tropical climate and natural beauty, the Philippines is renowned. It is easy to be in awe of your surroundings almost anywhere in the world, from the tops of its lush mountains to its vibrant coral reefs and everywhere in between. Perhaps the biggest draw is its many beaches: locations such as Boracay in Aklan, with its white sand and crystal clear blue water, and El Nido in Palawan, a region rich in biodiversity where calcareous cliffs rise from the sea, attract people from all over the world.

Food and beverages

Food is surprisingly cheap in the Philippines, and you can spend as little as $2 a day on your food cost, and why retiring to the Philippines a good idea.

When it comes to buying food, you have plenty of choices. There are various supermarkets, fast food restaurants, upscale restaurants, grocery stores, markets, and street vendors that sell all sorts of stuff to eat.
