Camiguin is a small island province in the Bohol Sea in the Philippines, some 10 kilometers (6.2 Mi) from Mindanao’s north coast. Geographically it is part of Region X, the country’s Northern Mindanao Region, and formerly part of Misamis Oriental Province.

It also serves as the regional center and business hub of Northern Mindanao (Region X), and part of the Metropolitan Cagayan de Oro area that includes the city of El Salvador, the towns of Opol, Alubijid, Laguindingan, Gitagum on the western side, and the towns of Tagoloan, Villanueva, Jasaan, Claveria on the eastern side.

Camiguin has its own airport in Mambajao, but Cebu Pacific is the only commercial airline operating daily flights from Cebu City to the province. Make your way to either Cagayan de Oro or Butuan City, for those coming from Manila. Either way, it is about a 20-minute flight to the second-largest city in the Philippines, Cebu City.

For those traveling from Cebu, there are daily Cebgo flights from Mactan International Airport to Camiguin Airport.

Visit Camiguin Island via Cagayan de Oro.

Unfortunately, there are currently no direct flights from Manila to Camiguin. If you are traveling from Manila, you must fly via Cebu Pacific and Philippine airlines to Butuan or Cagayan de Oro.
