The best route is to fly via Benguet, through Bontoc Rd, via La Trinidad.  You can also follow the highway or mountain trail through Halsema. The distance from Baguio to Sagada is estimated at around 150 km.

From Manila

There are very few bus lines offering direct journeys to Sagada from Manila. One is Coda Lines Bus in Cubao, Quezon City, which offers a one-day trip starting at Php990. Please notice that all bus companies’ schedules are subject to adjustment, so be sure to ask in advance. Buses leave every day from their Cubao, Quezon City terminal at 9 PM. The road passes through Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, and Ifugao Provinces.

From Banaue

If you can not book the direct Manila-to-Sagada journey because of a conflicting schedule, you can opt to take the Manila route to Banaue to Sagada. Many people first visit Banaue before heading to Sagada, where there are relatively more trips to the former.

Ohayami is one bus line located in Manila that offers Banaue-bound trips. You can ride one of the many local vans from Banaue, taking you to Sagada for as low as Php 300.

From Ilocos Sur

You can go to Sagada by traveling to Baguio for the first time from or in Ilocos Sur. Since Baguio has several Sagada-bound bus lines, this is the best choice, but it can be time-consuming, particularly for those not living in central Vigan.

Alternatively, you can go on a trip to the municipality of Ilocos Sur, Cervantes, where there are vans that can take you to Buguias barangay Abatan. From there, you can take a bus to Bontoc, where there are lots of Sagada-bound trips, like Baguio. It can cost up to Php 500 but is 3 hours shorter than the path from Ilocos Sur to Baguio to Sagada.
