THINGS TO DO IN SURIGAO CITY

  1. Get some perspective at the Day-asan Floating Village

To illustrate, the floating village of Dayasan is also known as Surigao’s Little Venice. It takes about 30 minutes to get there by the transport terminals in Pier 2, but the other route is crossing wooden bridges that connect the clustered houses to the mainland. In fact, this small fishing village is very serene, and everyone can understand how time stands still when getting there. Almost everyone in the village is Fisherfolk, collecting crabs and lobsters. For instance, Day-asana’s lush mangroves are also a must-visit. Because its waters teem with life, going snorkeling is a good idea. Bright-colored corals and all kinds of fish will certainly become newfound mates.

Get lost in the Enchanted River

https://philippineinfluence.com | Travel, Play, & Retire. We make the Philippines easy, fun, and safe.

Every single traveler must make their way to the Hinatuan Enchanted River. The locals claim that fairies enter the surface, making it much clearer as the ripples vanish. Accordingly, in a storybook, mermaids and pixies are also thought to be the river’s muses. One would need to see it to believe it. Nothing else is as blue as its waters and as comforting as its serenity. Moreover, its waters are also filled with different kinds of marine life. The left side of the entrance is quite deep. Perhaps this is why many say it is where the mermaids are. Just the brave dare swim its depths. For this purpose, several divers have tried to reach the bottom of the river, but no one has ever been successful.
